Ireland - Day 12 (Monday 4/10/2006)

Monday was another relaxing day. Rather than do ALL the driving I had planned I instead drove basically straight from Westport to Sligo, where W.B. Yeats spent a lot of time. Once I found my hotel and checked in I drove out to see Yeats’ grave, which was pretty much what you’d expect: a stone in a churchyard. But it was nice to see anyway.

After that I drove into town and walked around a bit before grabbing some grub. That was quickly followed up with nothing, and I do mean nothing, but some relaxing at the hotel. I know, that’s pretty boring, but PARTS of this vacation need to seem like a vacation. One thing I will say is that my hotel used to be a hospital, and is located on what used to be called Mental Hospital Lane. Fitting. See you tomorrow…
