Well, I’m writing this from another posh hotel, sitting here in my VERY comfortable bathrobe. Gotta love it. I woke up a bit later than usual this morning, around 8 or so, feeling a bit, well, worse for wear. But it was worth it. I had a blast last night. Besides, the two bottles of water I bought yesterday should go a long way to making me feel better.
I was on the road by 9:30 today and, while that’s a bit later than usual, it’s plenty of time for today’s easy day. All I had to do today was make the trip from Galway, through the Connemara region, past Clifden, and into Westport. Even if it wasn’t already a light day, my hangover would quickly make is such.
The drive was uneventful. The land, with its many little lakes and such, is nice, but just not as awe-inspiring as some of the other drives. So basically I just drove, with very little stopping. I did briefly stop to stretch my legs and use the restroom at this waterside abbey. It was quite nice, but I didn’t feel like paying so I moved on.
Eventually I rolled into Westport. Nice enough town. I was able to walk through it after checking into my hotel. It even has a pharmacy named after me. That’s right, check it out people. I walked around, looking for a place for some average pub food, and I got it. It was just what the doctor ordered.
Then it was back to the hotel to check some email and relax. Truly a nice, relaxing day. Maybe I’ll hit the spa and order room service later. Then again, maybe I’ll just go to bed. Who knows?
