Well, I'm getting ready for work, and today is a big day for us; we've got a presentation to wrap up the first phase of the project. And then...off for some curry.
This weekend I learned what it is to be truly British. And to be truly British apparently you need to spend your entire Saturday fully functional, BUT recovering from a hangover. Word of advice on what NOT to do on a Friday night in England. Do not, I repeat do not, try to convince the doormen at a club that you are a reporter doing an article on Cheltenham nightlife and your friends are your escorts. Especially if you're not a reporter. And you're hammered. All that ends up happening is you pay to get in anyway AND you look like an ass. Yeah, it was a good night. First we went to some place called the Residence, where I met a bunch of my "coworkers" and was treated to free drinks. And then after that place closed, well, that's when we had the silly idea I just told you about. After a bit at that place I really had to go home. And pass out on the couch. Till 9 AM. Fully dressed.
Saturday was great (other than the hangover). I watched a bit of "Clash of the Titans" and then went for a bit of shopping. And then...sushi. What a good day. I think my hangover finally went away around, oh, say, never, but still a good night.
Sunday I totally lounged around the house, watching "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and reading "The DaVinci Code," which is really great by the way. Then I went over to Stu's (one of the guys from Friday night) to watch the football game. Chelsea was playing Arsenal. Not a very good game, but there was beer and spaghetti so all was well and good with the world. AND I'm done wrapping presents.
So, here I sit, getting ready for our presentation, and I'm so excited. Not for the presentation, but for Christmas. It's less than a week away and I can't wait for everyone to open the presents I got them. That PLUS I have no idea what any of MY presents are this year. So exciting. Well, have a great day all!
No photos today, but I will leave you with the perfect gift for your Brit friends...David Hasslehoff! And then you can watch what happens when clay Santa gets nabbed by the cops, or when Santarchy takes over.
