Ireland - Day 15 (Thursday 4/13/2006)

Today started out as (another) rainy day. A good day to drink whiskey. So, after a leisurely morning, it was off to the Old Bushmills Distillery located, aptly enough, nearby in the town of Bushmills. Apparently this place is the oldest licensed distillery, and its license dates all the way back to 1608.

The tour was informative, and the 12 year-old special reserve, available only at the distillery, was good. Still, whiskey has never been my favorite drink so I kept it to one before driving down the eastern coast roads into the town of Ballygally, if you could even call it a town. It’s basically just a series of buildings along the shore. Regardless, the water is blue and the hotel is nice (aside from lying by telling me in the hotel welcome guide they’ve got wireless and wireless cards available).

This is a good place to relax. Basically I plan on spending the rest of the day figuring out a way to get all my gear back home. I like Tetris, so I should like this, too, right?
