I'm Done!!!

Just finished my walkthrough of the flat, and everything went very well. I have a few more things to do to put the place in order, but the mainstay is done, the linens are at the dry cleaner, my boxes have been dropped off at the shipper, and I just have to pack the rest of my gear and get ready for Ireland!!!

16 days in Ireland, just me, my car, my camera, and the whole of Ireland. I start in Dublin tomorrow night and then basically work my way around the country until I fly back to London on the 14th of April. Then it's a night with my buddy, Al (a coworker - don't hurt me TOO much, Al) and a flight home Saturday, April 15th. Finally, when I get back I get to go to my GodDaughter's 1st Birthday Party. It's going to be a great vacation. I'm trying not to think of all the stuff I need to do when I get back, like plan my sabbatical, do my taxes, plan the 5th Backyard Bash, register my Jeep, move out of my house, move into Jared's, catch up with Ozzy and Kristen (and EVERYBODY else), and so on, and so on, and so on. And all that's on top of going back to work for a bit. Regardless, I'm looking forward to both my vacation AND coming home.

Also on the horizon, keep an eye out for digitalbuffalo.net, my journey into my on-line photography business. I've got the domain name registered, now I just have to buy the software, and host the site. It's going to start off as a place to sell my professionally framed travel photography, and eventually become a place to host other photographers' work to sell on consignment (for a fee, of course). I'm very excited to journey down this road. I've gotten some rave reviews of my photography, including my mother's friend saying I could win this yearly contest she hosts hands down, so I'm fairly confident I can make some extra coin. Not enough to earn a solid living, mind you, but enough to pay for the beer, I hope.

I'd like to thank everyone who has made this experience here in England the wonderful journey that it's been, from friends (both at home and here), coworkers (again at home and here), and Kristen. You people are what makes reality what it is (inside joke). Thanks. To those here, I'll miss you (I hope to return someday). To those at home, I can't wait to see you.

I may post a bit before I go, and possibly some here and there along the way, but if I don't, I'll catch you all up when I land State-side. Ozzy, I'm coming home, buddy!
