"Sky High" (2005)

"Sky High," starring Kurt Russell and Kelly Preston, was a good, clean, family movie. AND it was filmed before "The Incredibles" so don't blame it for jumping on the bandwagon.

Sky High focuses on the life of young Will Stronghold, the child of two of the World's greatest superheroes, Jetstream (Preston) and Commander (Russell), and it's time for him to attend Sky High, a school where everyone is dealing with their superpowers on top of just being a normal teenager. Unfortunately for Will, his superpowers haven't developed yet, if they ever will. To top it all off the school becomes the target of the super-villain, Royal Pain, Jetstream and Commander's arch-nemesis. And, of course, it's up to Will and his friends to stop Royal Pain.

Okay, so it's a Disney movie. For kids. And I'm not a kid. But I liked it just the same. It was nice to sit down to a movie that didn't make you think too much (in that it was obvious where the plot was going). And the soundtrack was great (a bunch of 80's tunes redone - which is all the rage right now).
