Okay, I'm still waiting for my work to really take off, so I've been doing a bit of reading. I love to browse various sites and find out what's going on in the world. I look at things like Reuters, Slashdot, CNN, and Washington Post for my news mainly. I also like to peruse sites like Transbuddha, Frat Guy Antics, and Bore Me for some other news, but mainly for interesting and funny videos. Occassionally, The Onion delivers a gem.
Here are a few that I looked at today. The first, Steve Spangler Experiments, could suck up a ton of your time, but probably is the most educational. Some of these would be great to show to your nieces and nephews. Far better to show them that, than Ali G's interview with the Beckhams. And this could send shivers up and down your spine if you believe in things like King Tut's curse and all that.
I've also been keeping busy shoring up the details for my trip to Philly (Sweet! E=MyC*ckSquared just offered to pace me in!), as well as planning for my trip to London and Glasgow over the holidays. Just finished up a letter that I need to send to the Keeper of the Keys at the Tower of London so we can witness the Ceremony of the Keys. And today I just confirmed that Derek (KidGirl) and Kelly (CanYouHearMeNow) are coming to visit me in Cheltenham this weekend. They're living in London for two years while he attends the London Business School. And she just got a job at a non-profit to pass the time. Congrats, Kelly! Anyway, I'm going over in my head various things they may want to do this weekend. I don't know just yet what we'll do, but it's going to be a blast. That much I DO know. Well, I hope I've provided you with a little education, a bit of laughter, and a smidge of horror. Enjoy!
